The Ceibal Foundation presents the 5th issue of the journal “+Aprendizajes. Special Edition: 15 years of Ceibal – Building resilient education systems”. Its articles deal with the reflection and dissemination work on how to build resilient education systems carried out by Uruguay’s Ceibal Foundation in 2021 and 2022. The journal also focuses on Ceibal’s 15 years of existence, a milestone that qualifies as an example of resilience itself.
This issue includes an article on Ceibal written by the Uruguayan Minister of Education and Culture, Pablo da Silveira, and another by Leandro Folgar, President of the Ceibal Foundation. It also shares the outlooks of international experts such as Michael Fullan, Director of New Pedagogies for Deep Learning; Ellen Helsper, Professor of Socio-Digital Inequalities at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE); and Fernando Reimers, Professor and Director of the Global Education Innovation Initiative at Harvard University. Furthermore, it includes testimonials from Ceibal’s CEO, Fiorella Haim, and other leaders of the institution, as well as projects implemented in the first 15 years.
As regards Ceibal Foundation’s articulating theme, building resilient education systems, we must highlight the participation of renowned national and international speakers who reflect on the need to build resilient education systems and the opportunities for Uruguay’s education system. Information is also included on the Ceibal Foundation in Latin America in its role as a promoter of research, innovation and dissemination in the region through networks, projects, events, publications and the use of innovative communication strategies.
The journal +APRENDIZAJES has been published since 2018 and is a publication aimed at the education community at large.
