Herman Schinca is a PhD student of Computer Science in Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. His topic of research is "Didactics of Computer Science in the argentinian schoolar system". He has a Master degree in Computer Science at the School of Exact and Natural Sciences (UBA). Since 2012 he works in Fundación Sadosky, in the Program.AR Initiative, carrying out various tasks related to the development of didactic material and the training in computer science education: development of manuals for teachers; delivery of courses for teachers, trainers and primary and secondary students; development and delivery of online programming courses; etc. He also teaches computer science courses at UBA since 2008. Among his interests he highlight the aim to develop, test and redefine/refine teaching strategies for the school approach of topics such as Internet, computer architecture, operating systems, etc.; the development of these proposals in the heterogeneous Argentine school system; and the gender problem in Computer Science.
