The fifth edition of the “Digital Inclusion: Education with new horizons” modality of the Education Sector Fund closed on July 17th. It has the aim of funding research projects that would produce original data regarding existing knowledge in the field of teaching and learning aided by digital technologies.
This modality was created by ANII )the National Agency for Research and Innovation in Uruguay) and the Ceibal Foundation in Education in 2015 and from this year it also has the support of the International Development Research Center (IDRC) Canada, through the Alliance for the Digitalization of Education in Latin America (ADELA).
The research groups could be based in national as well as international institutions, public or private. Special recognition will be given to the association of national institutions with groups belonging to institutions of other countries.

Also, it will be positively valued that the projects contemplate one or more of the following cross-cutting lines:
The maximum amount of non-refundable financing will be 2,900,000 pesos for the projects of 24 months and 1,450,000 for the 12 months ones, and up to 80% of the budget. The remaining 20% can be made in cash or in kind.
