Ceibal Foundation and ANII (National Research and Innovation Agency), with the support of IDRC Canada, announce that the application period has ended and the evaluation period of research project proposals submitted to the EDUCATION SECTOR FUND “DIGITAL INCLUSION: EDUCATION WITH NEW HORIZONS” has begun. The 2020 call is the 6th since the fund was created in 2015. The implementation of 42 research projects of both national and international institutions in the field of education and technology has been funded and supported thanks to this call.
The purpose of the call is to fund research projects aligned with one or more of the priority lines and topics. The implementation of these projects should result in proposals or inputs that can be applied or transferred to the educational context.
The 2020 call involves two modalities with specific objectives.
Its purpose is to fund projects related to one or more of the defined priority lines and topics. This modality will prioritize projects relevant and applicable to the Ceibal Plan in coordination with ANEP (National Administration of Public Education).
Proposals must also conform to one of the listed lines of research, as set out in the Terms and Conditions.
Up to 12 months, 80% of the total cost will be funded, the largest contribution being UYU 1,450,000.
Up to 24 months inclusive, 80% of the total cost will be funded, the largest contribution being UYU 2,900,000.
Its purpose is to fund projects or initiatives that provide concrete solutions to problems or needs in Latin America and the Caribbean for the continuation of education during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This modality is supported by IDRC Canada.
Up to 5 months, 80% of the total cost will be funded, the largest contribution being UYU 600,000.
The application period has ended and the proposal evaluation period has begun.
Under this call, proposals are to be submitted in two stages:

Stage 2: Research project
The projects prioritized in stage 1 will be invited to apply for stage 2
