The Ceibal Foundation has issued the “Más allá del aula” (Beyond the classroom) call, whereby creative and innovative people and organizations can contribute to the planning of strategies and resources that will help promote the use of a literacy app in a blended (classroom-home) learning context. The winning proposal will be awarded US$5,000 in prize money.
This call is part of the project “Enhancing the contribution of Edutech for the learning of reading and writing”, led by the Ceibal Foundation in collaboration with Ceibal, the innovation laboratory IDB Lab, IDRC Canada and the ReachingU Foundation. The aim of this project, which has the Catholic University of Uruguay as a strategic partner, is to develop an app to support the learning of reading and writing in Spanish by children in their early literacy stage with a focus on the first year of primary school, particularly children from a disadvantaged background.
Implemented by Socialab, the “Beyond the classroom” call will be open until Monday, December 11th. Ideas for the planning of strategies and resources for the ownership of the literacy solution outside the classroom may be submitted by any company, institution and/or individual over 18 years of age, regardless of their place of residence, on the website for the call: https://www.socialaburuguay.com/masalladelaula
